Position Overview:
The Senior Software Applications Engineer will play a pivotal role in supporting key customer accounts across Europe, specializing in Ultra-wideband, Matter, Thread, Zigbee, and Bluetooth Low Energy technologies. This position involves diagnosing software challenges faced by customers and advocating for Qorvo's technological solutions to potential clients. Collaboration with sales and marketing teams is essential to identify and align with strategic customers. Additionally, the engineer will liaise with development teams to address customer concerns and provide insights on enhancing Qorvo's offerings to better meet client needs.

Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to deliver pre-design-in sales support, showcasing UWB, Matter, Thread, Zigbee, and Bluetooth Low Energy technologies to clients, evaluating their technical needs, and proposing suitable solutions. Experience in customer presentations using PowerPoint is advantageous.
- Serve as the primary support for customer software-related issues.
- Reproduce and resolve technical challenges encountered on customer platforms in a laboratory setting, working closely with internal development teams.
- Assist clients with system design validation and debugging from prototype stages to successful mass production.
- Willingness to travel within Europe (approximately 25%) to engage with customers and foster relationships with key accounts.
Qualifications:
- Proficient in C/C++ programming languages.
- Experience with microcontroller-based systems (e.g., ARM, RISC).
- In-depth knowledge of at least one wireless protocol (e.g., UWB, Bluetooth, Thread, Zigbee).
- Familiarity with serial communication protocols (e.g., SPI, UART, I2C).
- Strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to ensuring customer success.
- Experience in customer engagement and excellent interpersonal skills.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication abilities, with a proactive approach to developing innovative solutions. Proficiency in English is required.
- Ability to manage and deliver projects within tight deadlines, demonstrating self-motivation.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field; a Master's degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant industry experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with FreeRTOS and/or Zephyr operating systems.
- Familiarity with additional programming languages, such as Python.
- Understanding of basic RF principles.
- Experience with laboratory equipment, including Spectrum Analyzers, Network Analyzers, Oscilloscopes, Logic Analyzers, Multimeters, and Power Supplies.
- Track record of collaborating with high-volume customers leading to successful production ramp-up.
