About the Role

This exciting opportunity is part of our efforts to become a sustainable tech-led company. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in shaping our cloud strategy and accompanying the cloud transformation.

You will be responsible for designing and delivering new infrastructure hosting platforms within our datacenters (SDDC-POD), while supporting the migration to target platforms. Additionally, you will focus on protecting core IT QoS over the next years by selective refresh, continuing to decommission related infrastructure.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Drive OS patch management in collaboration with security teams to ensure seamless operation and minimize downtime.
  • Engineer, test, and operate solutions, documenting accordingly and handing over to additional operational teams to maintain efficiency.
  • Undertake security project activities, including audit remediation, to guarantee compliance and regulatory adherence.
  • Evaluate and implement proper OS Security Lifecycle Management worldwide, ensuring robust security measures.
  • Implement Security Hardening/Compliance measures to protect against potential threats.
  • Patch Management: Develop and execute strategies for timely patch deployment, minimizing vulnerabilities.
  • Vulnerability Management: Identify, prioritize, and address potential vulnerabilities to safeguard systems.
  • Supervise, manage, and administer all kinds of Windows Servers within the AXA Group, promoting best practices and standards.
  • Enhance and enrich automation capabilities using Dev-Ops tool stacks and future AI-Ops technologies to optimize day-to-day operations.
  • Act as a technical leader in a global Windows OS Product Team environment, providing guidance and expertise.
  • Be the trusted advisor for customers/partners, offering strategic recommendations and support.
  • Collaborate closely with Build Engineers within the Global Team on Windows Server Evolution and transformation.
  • Orient Windows Server Platform Management towards local or public Cloud Datacentre requirements (Private Cloud, Microsoft Azure, Amazon AWS).
  • Control Incident, Problem, and Change Management aspects driven out of the Windows OS Team, maintaining transparency and accountability.
  • Windows Server OS advanced troubleshooting: Analyze complex issues and develop effective solutions.

Requirements and Qualifications

To succeed in this challenging role, you should possess the following skills:

  • Senior and Advanced Windows Server Engineer/Administrator experience.
  • Strong understanding of state-of-the-art Security, Compliance, and Server hardening concepts (GPO Management).
  • Knowledge about actual but also legacy Windows Server OS Versions (W2k8 – W2k22).
  • Engineering, coding, and build capabilities preferably powered by MS PowerShell.
  • Understanding of actual Dev-Ops methodologies and tool stack like Puppet Enterprise, Terraform, GitHub, Artifactory.
  • Knowledge about Server SW Packaging procedures (Ex. Chocolatey).
  • A strong interest in future-oriented Cloud Solutions and Platforms like Amazon AWS and Microsoft Azure.
  • Knowledge about various Datacentre Layers and components like Virtualization and Compute Technologies (VMWare ESX, HW Management, AD Management, Network, and Firewall protocols).
  • Experience with Windows Server Patch Management technologies like WSUS.
  • Some interest in future-oriented AI-Ops solutions to optimize operational support and business line.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work in multicultural environments distributed globally.
  • A high degree of autonomy, proactivity, and willingness to drive complex situations and scenarios.
