About the Job

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled CEO to lead our Biotech Open Platform, a joint venture between Danone, Michelin, DMC Biotechnologies, and Crédit Agricole Centre France. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving the growth and success of this innovative platform, which aims to increase capacity in precision fermentation and produce bio-based materials and ingredients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive business plan to drive the platform's growth and success.
  • Secure funding from investors, loans, or subsidies to support the platform's development and operations.
  • Recruit, hire, and retain top talent across all functions, fostering a collaborative company culture.
  • Engage with the biotech ecosystem, establishing key partnerships and building strong relationships with shareholders, customers, and other key partners.
  • Coordinate and ensure proper management of all aspects of the business, including marketing, sales, finance, and operations.
  • Coordinate board meeting agendas and decision-making, contributing to strategy shaping and ensuring open/constructive relationships across shareholders.
About You

We are looking for a leader with a strong track record of success in the biotech industry, with experience in fermentation, microbiology, and biological engineering. The ideal candidate will have a Master's Degree or PhD in Microbiology/Biology or Engineering/Technology, with a proven ability to work within and lead a CDMO. They will also possess strong business skills, including market segmentation, customer profiling, and contract management, as well as a sophisticated communication style and ability to navigate complexity with enthusiasm.
