Job Summary
The CNRS is seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Researcher (M/F) to join the team of Dr. Massimo Mantegazza at the Institute of Molecular and Cellular Pharmacology (IPMC) in Valbonne, France. The successful candidate will be involved in the development and implementation of in vivo experiments using mouse models to study the pathophysiology of neurodevelopmental disorders and epilepsies related to mutations of sodium channel genes.
Responsibilities
The Postdoctoral Researcher will be responsible for:
- Designing and conducting in vivo experiments using mouse models to study the pathophysiology of neurodevelopmental disorders and epilepsies related to mutations of sodium channel genes
- Collecting and analyzing data from in vivo experiments, including behavioral and electrophysiological recordings
- Collaborating with the research team to develop and implement new experimental approaches and techniques
- Presenting research findings at international conferences and publishing research papers in peer-reviewed journals
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have:
- A Ph.D. in neuroscience, molecular biology, or a related field
- Experience with in vivo experiments using mouse models, including behavioral and electrophysiological recordings
- Strong background in molecular biology and genetics
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Fluency in English (written and spoken)
Working Conditions
The position is available immediately and will be filled for a period of 12 months, with the possibility of renewal. The successful candidate will be based at the IPMC in Valbonne, France, and will be expected to work in a team environment with regular interactions with the research team.
