Position Overview
The Aga Khan Academies is in search of Programs and Partnerships Professionals at various levels, including Officers and Managers. The selected candidates will play a pivotal role in managing a portfolio of grants supported by North American donors, contributing to the development of global programs and proposals, and representing the organization at various networking events, conferences, and technical group meetings. Additionally, these roles will provide support to the Global Partnerships Team.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee grant management for assigned projects.
- Engage in global program and proposal development.
- Represent the Aga Khan Academies at key events and meetings.
- Support public engagement initiatives.
- Collaborate with the Global Partnerships Team.
Location and Travel
The roles will be based in Ottawa, with potential travel of up to 25% annually to regions in Africa and Asia. Relocation assistance to Ottawa is available if required.
Eligibility Requirements
- A Master's degree in a relevant field, such as international development.
- Officers should have a minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience, while Managers should possess at least five (5) years in program management, grant management, or business development, ideally including experience in a developing country.
- Demonstrated experience in business and proposal development for major institutional donors, including but not limited to Global Affairs Canada (GAC), USAID, and other significant foundations.
- Experience in grant management or program management for international development projects funded by institutional donors.
- Familiarity with results-based management, particularly in GAC programming.
- Understanding of gender equality and women's empowerment, with experience in integrating these concepts into programs.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in French is highly desirable.
- Ability to travel as required, including to Africa and Asia.
