NTU International A/S is seeking a highly skilled Senior Energy Sector Regulations Expert to lead a consortium for a new EU-funded project. The project aims to provide a preparatory study for the implementation of the National Hydrogen Strategy in Egypt.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop a comprehensive regulatory framework for the energy sector in Egypt, focusing on hydrogen production and utilization.
- Conduct policy analysis and development related to energy markets, including regulatory impacts on market dynamics, investment, and technology deployment.
- Collaborate with relevant Ministries and public entities in Egypt to gather information and develop the implementation plan.
- Work under the supervision of the EU and EBRD to ensure compliance with international regulatory frameworks and standards.
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Energy Policy, Environmental Law, Public Policy, Engineering, Economics, or a related field.
- Minimum 12 years of professional experience in the energy sector, with a focus on regulatory frameworks, policy development, and compliance.
- Advanced coursework or certification in Energy Regulation, Sustainable Energy Systems, or Regulatory Compliance is advantageous.
- Good command of English (CEFR C1) and Arabic language skills are highly valued.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in managing and leading regulatory projects, including developing and implementing regulations and policies at national or international levels.
- Direct involvement in policy analysis and development related to energy markets, including regulatory impacts on market dynamics, investment, and technology deployment.
- Experience with international regulatory frameworks and standards, such as those established by the International Energy Agency (IEA), European Union (EU) directives, or other global energy organizations.
