We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled professional to lead our EMEA insurance team as a Managing Director of Credit Analysis. As a key member of our Global Financial Institutions (FIG) ratings group, you will be responsible for overseeing the credit analysis of the assigned credit portfolio, addressing credit issues consistently and promptly, and continually enhancing the rigor and relevance of our ratings.
Key Responsibilities- Lead a team of seasoned analysts and deliver on FIG's strategic priorities, ensuring insightful credit analysis, accurate ratings, and timely management of active deal flows.
- Oversee credit analysis of the assigned credit portfolio, addressing credit issues consistently and promptly.
- Spearhead initiatives to improve rating quality, operational efficiency, and enhance credit research and outreach.
- Enhance Moody's position as the thought leader in this sector with investors, intermediaries, and issuers, and as the preferred ratings and opinion provider.
- Support Moody's Ratings' strategic initiatives in Private Credit.
- Contribute to Moody's Ratings' transformation initiatives and assume a leadership role in specified workstreams.
- Develop and execute a talent plan, collaborating with internal stakeholders to attract, hire, motivate, develop, and retain talented staff.
- Champion Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DE&I) initiatives and ensure appropriate team attendance to and engagement in DE&I events and discussions.
- Credit Expertise: The ideal candidate is a seasoned market participant with exceptional credit skills, specifically within the insurance sector, and maintains deep connections within the investor community.
- Analytical leadership: The successful candidate will strive for continual improvement in the methodologies, approaches, and factors used in the rating process.
- Thought leader: The candidate should possess strategic insights into evolving market dynamics and investor needs, with good idea generation.
- Relationship Management: The candidate should have a proven track record of reinforcing existing relationships at all levels and effectively representing the Moody's brand.
- Leadership and Communication: The successful candidate should be capable of conveying complex analytical and strategic issues to audiences of varying skill and knowledge levels, both internally and externally, through spoken and written communication.
- Talent Leadership: The candidate should have considerable experience as a people manager, motivator, and mentor, ideally within a team of credit professionals.
- Education: A strong academic background equivalent to at least an MSc, CFA, or similar in relevant areas is required.
- Language Skills: Fluency in English is crucial. Proficiency in additional European languages would be beneficial.
- Inclusive Mindset: The candidate should display openness towards diverse cultures and be willing to travel across the EMEA region.
