Fleet Superintendent Le Havre

CMA Ships is seeking a highly skilled Fleet Superintendent to join our team in Le Havre. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and maintenance of our container ships.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor and oversee the operational performance of container ships in your area of responsibility.
- Initiate and implement investigations, repairs, and maintenance activities to ensure compliance with shipping technical norms and company standards.
- Supervise and coordinate technical interventions, including repairs and maintenance, with crew members and external participants.
- Challenge root cause analysis of defects and import feedbacks in owned fleet.
- Act as the primary point of contact for chief engineers, captains, lines, and shipyards.
- Manage operational budgets allocated to each vessel and ensure compliance with company standards.
- Update shipping documents and official certificates as necessary.
- Monitor and optimize vessel consumptions to reduce costs and support decarbonization efforts.
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- A chief/second engineer license or degree in naval engineering.
- At least 5 years of experience as a seafarer and/or in a similar position.
- Fluency in spoken and written English and proficiency with office and IT tools.
- Good knowledge of international shipping regulations.
- Expert knowledge in a technical field (hull, engines, etc.) is an advantage.
- Interest in decarbonization topics related to the maritime industry.
- Rigour, responsiveness, and capacity for analysis and synthesis, combined with interpersonal skills.
