Position Overview:
The Coating Operations Supervisor is responsible for ensuring safe and efficient oversight of coating activities in alignment with Altrad's operational standards and project timelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a safety champion within the team.
- Coordinate and oversee the allocation of personnel, materials, and equipment.
- Enforce adherence to safety protocols at all times.
- Maintain the highest standards of workmanship quality.
- Inspire, guide, and motivate team members.
Safety Leadership Practices:
- Address any unsafe practices and exemplify outstanding personal health, safety, and environmental (HSE) conduct.
- Acknowledge and reward exemplary individual and team HSE contributions, while addressing poor performance appropriately.
- Identify potential risks and challenges, collaborating with teams to strategize work plans and counter complacency regarding routine tasks.
- Respond promptly to HSE issues, seeking managerial assistance when necessary.
- Conduct Tool Box talks and other safety briefings.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Plan and manage work activities effectively, optimizing resource use.
- Supervise teams to promote safe operational performance.
- Execute all work in accordance with relevant work pack/job card specifications, procedures, and drawings.
- Perform necessary Risk Assessments (RA) to ensure safe and controlled work execution, communicating these safety measures clearly.
- Ensure compliance with the Permit to Work (PTW) system and conduct inspections of completed work control checks.
- Guarantee that all coating operations are conducted in line with company protocols and quality standards.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Proven competency in the specific trade with relevant experience.
- Certification in either NACE or ICORR.
