This Senior Consultant position is part of FTI Consulting's E-discovery Consulting team. The role requires strong analytical skills and excellent communication abilities to effectively manage client relationships and deliver high-quality results.
The successful candidate will lead on phases of e-discovery projects, overseeing client delivery and ensuring timely completion. Key responsibilities include liaising with clients and project managers, managing electronic evidence collection exercises, and utilizing industry-standard software to access, extract, and cull data.
As part of a cross-functional team, the Senior Consultant will work closely with colleagues to manage the delivery of client requirements, providing superior client service in demanding situations. The role also involves coordinating with team members to manage the collection, migration, processing, analysis, conversion, quality assurance, tracking, and management of client data.
What You'll Do
- Liaise with clients and project managers regarding client requests and manage expectations
- Plan and execute electronic evidence collection exercises
- Utilize industry-standard software to access, extract, and cull data
- Manage team efforts to apply analytical skills and leverage existing methodologies to various client situations and practice disciplines
- Assume responsibility for day-to-day data processing, conversion, analysis, quality control, import, and other specialized tasks
- Coordinate closely with colleagues within and across teams to manage the delivery of client requirements
- Be customer-service-oriented to meet client deadlines, including working out of business hours when necessary
- Travel as required to ensure effective management of case activities
What You'll Need to Succeed
- Educated to degree level (or equivalent), ideally in a technology-related or numerate subject
- Ability to manage time and prioritize tasks effectively
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and support the team's goals above individual goals
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while handling multiple tasks through completion
- Excellent communication and client communication skills (verbal and written)
- Provide superior client service in demanding, deadline-driven situations
- Flexible with working hours and able to work in a cross-functional team
- Successful management/supervision of others
- Ability to think clearly under pressure
- Strong logical reasoning skills
- Proven ability to conduct training in a professional environment
- Ability to travel when requested
- Strong proficiency with Windows and related software, especially Microsoft Excel or Microsoft Access
