Job Summary

Newrest is seeking a highly skilled Supply Operator Lead to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth flow of goods and materials throughout our warehouse and production areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the start-up procedures, including unlocking and pre-start checks on all operational equipment.
  • Resource planning to maximize efficiency and ensure operational success.
  • Manage and organize daily order picking requirements.
  • Monitor accuracy and organization during unloading/inspection of all inbound goods/returned product.
  • Supervise picking and checking process for accuracy and to ensure customers orders are fulfilled.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key internal customers.
  • Daily liaison with production, Pick and Pack and Transportation department.
  • Full adherence to health and safety policy and procedures.
  • Assist in employee training, development, and engagement.
  • Load, unload, sort, and move shipments by hand or by use of material handling equipment.
  • Accurately and safely unload trucks.
  • Complete receiving documentation.
  • Move goods to appropriate storage areas in a safe manner.
  • Perform regular counts of stored materials.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the shipping area, loading dock, and trash areas.
  • Complete daily quality logs.
  • Work closely with the production department to ensure proper stock and inventory of needed materials.
  • Ensure all equipment is maintained and inspected according to operating procedures.
  • Adhere to shipping policies/procedures and regulatory compliance procedures.
  • Report potential hazards and unsafe work conditions to team lead, lead hand, or manager.
  • Regular and timely attendance is expected for this position.
Requirements
  • No experience required, but any experience in supply, purchasing, receiving, or inventory is a plus.
  • Must be able to speak, read, and write in English.
  • Must be able to count.
  • Must be able to work in varying temperatures, including freezing temperatures.
  • Be able to understand documents, such as purchase orders, bills of lading, and shipping orders.
  • Must be willing to work weekends.
  • Good knowledge of HACCP regulations.
  • Ability to work fast-paced.
  • Ability to show flexibility in working in various areas of the department.
  • Ability to know how one's performance affects the areas before and after you.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be exposed to a fluctuating temperature environment, with a majority of that time in a freezing temperature environment. The individual is regularly required to stand, lift, bend over, walk, talk and/or hear. The employee may also regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. The noise level may range from moderate to loud.
