At Uni Systems, we are dedicated to turning digital visions into reality. Our team is continuously growing, and we are seeking a skilled Platform Engineer to join our UniQue team in Strasbourg.

The ideal candidate will possess advanced knowledge of IT support, design, and troubleshooting of large Server and Storage Area Network (SAN) farms, as well as complex platforms.

This role requires expertise in:

  • IT support, design, and troubleshooting of large Server and Storage Area Network (SAN) farms, as well as complex platforms.
  • Configuration and troubleshooting of virtual environments, including VMware vSphere, vSAN, and Horizon.
  • Server management and operating system knowledge (UNIX, Linux, Windows).
  • Design, implementation, and administration of backup and restore solutions like VEEAM and StoreOnce.
  • Administration of servers, blade systems, and composable infrastructure.
  • Management of storage systems, including traditional SAN, CEPH, and VSAN.
  • Managing OCP platform in DevOps mode with supporting systems like Red Hat Service Mesh, GitHub, Helm, GitOps, Ansible Automation Platform, Kafka.
  • Development, execution, and troubleshooting of automation scripts using Ansible and PowerShell.
  • PKI and certificate administration.
  • Administration of monitoring systems like Nagios and Splunk.
  • Centralized deployment of software and updates.

Requirements

To succeed in this position, you will need:

  • University degree in a relevant discipline and at least 6 years of professional experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of OCP platform administration with supporting tools like Red Hat Service Mesh, GitHub, Helm, GitOps, Ansible Automation Platform, Kafka.
  • Advanced script development and troubleshooting skills (Ansible, PowerShell).
  • Active Directory (AD) / LDAP and Keycloak Management.
  • Knowledge and experience with monitoring and observability systems (configuration, customisation, further development), Prometheus, Grafana, ElasticSearch, Kibana, Jaeger, NAGIOS and Splunk.
  • Knowledge and advanced experience in Redhat, Windows OS administration of large farms.
  • Advanced knowledge and experience with VMWare (vSphere, vSAN, Horizon).
  • Knowledge and experience in administration of servers, bladesystems and composable infrastructure.
  • Network Attached Storage (NAS) and distributed file systems.
  • Knowledge and experience in administration of Backup & Storage systems (VEEAM, StoreOnce, vSAN, traditional SAN and CEPH).

Advantageous:

  • Experience in software compliance monitoring and enforcement.
  • Basic knowledge on DB systems, MS SQL, Oracle and Elastic search.
  • Excellent analysis and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in managing highly available environments and multiple site support.
  • Familiar with ITIL/ITIL V3 processes, in particular incident, change, capacity and configuration management.
