Senior Specialist Financial Reporting

Join AXA XL, the property and casualty and specialty risk division of AXA, as a Senior Specialist Financial Reporting in our Finance Department in Paris, France.

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Specialist Financial Reporting to support the development of activities of the French branch of XL Insurance company. As a key member of our Finance Department, you will be responsible for participating in quarterly closing activities, documenting technical balances, and monitoring the aging balance.

You will also be responsible for determining uncollectible receivables in collaboration with management teams, resolving suspense accounts, and documenting specific financial processes for the French branch. Additionally, you will manage and configure the accounting interface between the management software and the accounting department.

Responsibilities
  • Accounting: Participate in quarterly closing activities, documentation of technical balances, and monitoring of the aging balance.
  • Taxation: Proceed with the calculation of accounting restatements (IFRS to FR GAAP) for tax calculation, review and restatement of technical provisions, and preparation of transfer pricing documentation for XLICSE French branch.
  • External reporting: Participate in external reporting to regulatory authorities (CBI, ACPR, guarantee funds) or market bodies (France Assureurs).
Requirements
  • Higher education degree in Accounting and Management (DCG) or expertise in accounting (DECF).
  • Significant experience (5-8 years) in tax compliance preparation or consolidation work, or experience in internal or external audit.
  • Rigorous, proactive, and structured.
  • Excellent mastery of Excel (data manipulation and exploitation).
  • Knowledge of SAP is a plus.
  • Perfect command of English – working language (written/oral).
