Our Global Information Technologies - IT division is seeking a Cloud Engineering Apprentice to join our innovative team.

Role Highlights

As a member of the newly established Collaborative & Cloud Services department, you will contribute to the development of cutting-edge solutions that leverage Azure PaaS services, event-driven architectures, and containerized microservices. Your role will involve building and deploying modern applications while ensuring effective monitoring, security, and alerting.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with a cloud software architect and other IT professionals to explore Azure services and their functionalities.
  • Learn to provision Azure services and implement necessary security measures.
  • Evaluate new services and features, and contribute to enhancements of existing solutions.
  • Engage in coding for microservices or functions, and assist fellow developers as needed.

Candidate Profile

Educational Background

  • Pursuing studies in web software development.
  • Full stack development skills, with a strong foundation in both backend and frontend technologies.
  • Preparing for a master's degree in IT or in the first year of IT engineering.
  • Ideally seeking a long-term apprenticeship (2+ years).

Essential Technical Skills

  • Proficient in Git SCM, including branch strategies and pull requests.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies, including backlog management and sprints.
  • Understanding of DevOps principles such as continuous integration and Infrastructure as Code.
  • Basic knowledge of Cloud services and common patterns (IaaS, CaaS, PaaS, SaaS).
  • Awareness of modern application development trends, including microservices and serverless architectures.
  • Strong command of object-oriented programming (e.g., .Net C# or Java).

Additional Skills

  • Knowledge of Azure DevOps or similar Application Lifecycle Management platforms.
  • Experience with Visual Studio and/or VS Code.
  • Familiarity with building RESTful APIs and API clients.
  • Proficient in HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks (e.g., Angular, React).

Language Proficiency

  • French (preferred).
  • English (mandatory, both written and spoken).
