Job Description

**Project Operations Engineer**

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Operations Engineer to join our team at Subsea 7. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful execution of our offshore projects.

Key Responsibilities
  1. **Offshore Spread Preparation**: Ensure that offshore spreads are prepared and ready for operations, with particular attention to certification, bridging documentation, SIMOPS, and safety assurance processes.
  2. **Logistic Support**: Responsible for ensuring that installation spreads have full support in terms of logistics, transportation, safety, and certification.
  3. **Daily Calls with Vessels**: Attend daily calls with vessels to ensure smooth operations.
  4. **Procedure Review**: Review offshore installation procedures prepared by the project engineering team, including risk assessment sessions.
  5. **Field Engineering Support**: Assist project engineers and field engineers with vessel readiness and mobilization activities.
  6. **Equipment Mobilization**: Ensure project equipment is mobilized in an efficient and timely fashion.
  7. **Supply Chain Management**: Liaise with regional and group departments for specific requirements related to project operations.
  8. **Material Tracking**: Supervise material tracking activity through the project's material tracker and ensure equipment inspection, readiness, delivery, tracking, and demobilization.
  9. **Customs Clearance**: Follow up with in-country logistic teams for materials and equipment customs clearance.
  10. **3rd Party Spread SOPs**: Review all 3rd party spread standard operating procedures.
  11. **Mobilization Activities**: Execute specific mobilization activities, including procedure development and task planning, as instructed by the project operations manager.
  12. **Demobilization**: Ensure project equipment is demobilized in an efficient and timely fashion.
  13. **Cargo Barge and Support Vessel Management**: Manage and monitor cargo barges and support vessels preparation, on-hire survey, to the satisfaction of the project team and to satisfy company assurance processes.
  14. **Support Vessel Assignment**: Follow up support vessel assignment during the course of the project.
  15. **Customer Liaison**: Liaise with customer in-country regarding all certification, assets preparation process, and logistic support.
  16. **Engineering Input**: Assist and provide engineering input as required to the in-country operation manager.
  17. **Logistic Support Activities**: Coordinate logistic support activities, including freight forwarding, shipping, and OPL, through the in-country logistic organization.
  18. **Technical Input**: Provide technical input to in-country SCM for any local services required, such as fabrication and/or local purchase quotations analysis.
  19. **Compliance**: Ensure that all work performed complies with project requirements and is carried out in accordance with the rules and methods of the group.
  20. **Visa Requests**: Prepare in advance visa requests and follow up on regular basis with crewing and in-country logistic team visa process for the offshore crew.
  21. **Training and Certificates**: Follow up project-specific required trainings and certificates for offshore crew.
  22. **Vessel Needs**: Anticipate vessels needs during mobilization, offshore construction, and demobilization phases.
  23. **Vessel Clearance**: Gather documentation for vessel clearance in Angola and send it to the in-country logistic team. Follow up on vessel clearance process.
Requirements

**Minimum Requirements**

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in subsea construction, including shallow waters, pipelaying, flexibles/umbilical's laying, and diving.
  • Experience in EPCI and SURF projects, in particular logistic supports, mobilization, field engineering, local content requirements within Africa organization, transit & TI processes.
  • Skilled in coordination of support services and subcontractors.
  • Fluent in English. Knowledge of Portuguese would be an advantage.
  • Skilled in planning development with Microsoft Project.
