VINCI Construction Terrassement Grands Projets is a leader in the construction sector, focusing on large-scale infrastructure projects that enhance mobility and foster climate resilience through sustainable practices.
We are in search of an Equipment Engineer to become a vital part of our team.
In this role, you will report directly to the Equipment and Logistics Manager and will oversee the procurement of excavation machinery, specialized equipment, and support tools for our operations. Your responsibilities will encompass everything from specifying requirements to the reception and commissioning of equipment, along with managing consultations, negotiations, and follow-ups on orders.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Establishing detailed specifications;
- Engaging in direct discussions with manufacturers and suppliers;
- Preparing technical and financial summaries of proposals;
- Creating and monitoring procurement contracts;
- Conducting inspections of machinery at production sites;
- Coordinating deliveries and facilitating the commissioning of new equipment on various projects;
- Assisting the Equipment and Works teams in integrating new machinery;
- Participating in technological advancements;
- Ensuring adherence to the company's safety protocols;
- Documenting and disseminating Information Updates within the Equipment division regarding projects;
- Contributing to equipment specifications and research during project bidding phases.
Qualifications:
A mechanical background with education ranging from a Bachelor’s degree to an Engineering degree, depending on experience.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in equipment roles within the construction industry, preferably in excavation or civil engineering.
A willingness to travel frequently for project needs (both domestically and internationally) and an openness to future mobility for career advancement and responsibilities in equipment management on large-scale projects.
Fluency in French and English is required; proficiency in an additional language is advantageous.
Strong skills in MS Office are essential.
