Project Management Excellence

The Assistant Project Manager Vessel Design Construction at Royal Caribbean Group works alongside the Project Manager to plan and execute the Design and Construction of a vessel. The key responsibilities include supporting the Project Manager in technical, planning, and coordination, identifying stakeholders project needs and goals, creating a detailed plan to successfully complete a project, driving project reports and documents, overseeing and collaborating with Mission control to coordinate and manage project tasks and deliverables, and liaising with project stakeholders concerning project details and deliverables.

Project Management Support

  • Assisting in the planning and implementation of projects
  • Coordinating and managing project tasks and deliverables
  • Liaising with project stakeholders concerning project details and deliverables
  • Performing other duties assigned by the Project Manager in an orderly and efficient manner

Naval Architecture

  • Participating in the ship projects design and building process on the field of naval architecture
  • Responsibility over the ships hydrostatics, hydrodynamics, comfort, safety, and energy efficiency
  • Responsibility over the ships pier and sea trials in Naval Architectural topics

Key Skills and Experience

  • Experience of shipbuilding project and programming processes
  • Good skills to read and analyze drawings and other technical documentation
  • In-depth knowledge of SOLAS, IMO, classification rules, and marine standards
  • Fluency in English, other languages as an advantage
  • Excellent teamwork skills
  • Good skills for communication and cooperation in a multicultural working environment
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in Excel, MS Word, MS Project or equivalent, PowerPoint
  • Willingness to travel and relocate

Qualifications

M. Sc. Naval architect with minimum 5 years of experience in the shipbuilding industry
