Candidate Profile: The ideal candidate will be a skilled generalist who is adept at navigating complex legal landscapes, prioritizing diverse interests, and thriving under tight deadlines. A strong background in B2B contracts is essential, as the role will involve supporting various agreements related to purchasing, sales, distribution, and more. Work Arrangement: Hybrid work model. Key Responsibilities:The Interim Senior Legal Advisor will provide comprehensive legal support for daily business operations across the Americas, focusing on: Commercial Matters:
- Drafting and negotiating a variety of commercial contracts, including supply, agency, distribution, R&D collaboration, confidentiality, and intellectual property licenses.
- Reviewing and negotiating complex project contracts associated with large-scale industrial initiatives.
- Offering legal guidance and support on a range of business issues to internal stakeholders, including sales, purchasing, operations, engineering, R&D, and finance.
- Providing company secretary services (directly or through local external counsel) for legal entities in the Americas.
- Sharing legal expertise on transversal matters with other legal team members.
- A minimum of 10 years of comprehensive legal experience, acquired in both law firm and corporate environments.
- International exposure through education or professional experience; proficiency in Spanish or Portuguese is advantageous.
- A strong legal education complemented by high-quality professional experience, excellent communication skills, creative problem-solving abilities, and a solid business orientation.
- Juris Doctor degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
- Licensed to practice law in the United States and in good standing.
- Proven ability to work closely with and advise senior executives, along with strong people management skills.
- Exceptional legal and business acumen, with strong counseling skills and sound judgment.
- Familiarity with intellectual property laws, including patents, trademarks, and copyrights.
- Advanced experience in contractual and transactional law.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to provide clear and concise legal advice across various functions.
- A commitment to high ethical standards and professional integrity.
