The IT Department's Role
Within G2S, the IT department plays a crucial role in providing users with essential data and processing capabilities. We ensure the security and sustainability of the Group's IT assets, support commercial development both domestically and internationally, and continuously develop new information systems and technical infrastructures while maintaining existing ones.
The OCEAN Programme Projects Team
Our dedicated OCEAN Programme Projects team is seeking a skilled and motivated Functional Project Manager to join our talented and dynamic group.
Your Responsibilities as a Functional Project Manager
- Lead and oversee the successful implementation of IT developments and projects, ensuring adherence to quality standards, budget constraints, and agreed-upon deadlines in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Evaluate assigned requests for feasibility, potential impacts, and define solutions in close coordination with architects and planners. Estimate effort, develop schedules, and staffing plans with support from internal and external resources.
- Provide operational supervision to external providers, actively engage and monitor various project contributors, including business analysts and project team members. Conduct regular progress reports to keep stakeholders informed.
- Supervise and guide study participants assigned to projects, ensuring their effective contribution to the overall success.
- Actively participate in testing the developed solution to ensure its compliance before delivery to clients. Monitor application installations and provide ongoing support.
- Proactively identify potential risks associated with projects, develop and implement mitigation plans (both preventive and corrective), and propose solutions for project contingencies.
- Produce comprehensive project deliverables according to the established G2S project management framework.
- Implement and manage the team's work plan and contributions, ensuring efficient task allocation and progress tracking.
- Provide regular and detailed reports to your manager, keeping them informed about project status and any significant developments.
- Monitor project budgets and activities diligently using the designated budget tracking and resource allocation tool.
Your Profile
We are seeking a highly motivated individual with a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and 5 to 10 years of experience in project management. The ideal candidate possesses strong knowledge of project management methodologies, budgeting principles, and the ability to effectively communicate with diverse stakeholders. Analytical skills, research capabilities, synthesis document creation, team leadership, and management abilities are essential for success in this role.
