Job Description: Home Care Assistant

As a Home Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in assisting individuals with their daily living activities, promoting their well-being, and enhancing their quality of life.

• Responsibilities:
• Provide personalized assistance with essential daily tasks, including hygiene, dressing, meal preparation, mobility support, and medication reminders.
• Maintain a clean and safe living environment by assisting with housekeeping, laundry, and light errands.
• Encourage social engagement and participation in leisure activities to promote mental and emotional well-being.
• Monitor the individual's progress and communicate any concerns or observations to the appropriate team members.
• Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.

Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• A State Diploma in Home Care Assistant (DEAVS) or a related qualification recognized by the collective agreement for this position.
• Experience working with individuals requiring personal care and support.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• A compassionate and patient approach to care.
• A valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
