IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILE
In a competitive landscape, SUEZ Digital Solutions aims to solidify its global leadership in the Water sector and enhance its Waste operations, targeting a doubling of the Group's digital revenue by 2027.
The digital solutions division is structured around three primary solution lines, focusing on product management and operational deployment for customer projects across various regions.
The three solution lines include:
- Smart Metering & Smart Cities (over 6 million connected meters globally)
- Water Operations & Asset Management Solutions (software for comprehensive water cycle management and infrastructure investment, with over 1500 platforms deployed)
- Recycling & Recovery Solutions & Customer Portals (digital tools for optimizing waste management from collection to recovery sectors)
The operations division comprises a central team, primarily located in France, along with regional departments in key markets such as the UK, Italy, North America, Australia/New Zealand, and Asia.
Within the Water & Asset Management Solutions, the Senior Product Manager will craft solutions tailored not only for internal stakeholders but also for all market participants.
Reporting Structure: Reports to the Director of Solution Lines.
Key Responsibilities:
**Product Strategy Development:**
- Define a comprehensive product strategy and roadmap for optimizing waste industrial Energy from Waste (EFW) plants, catering to both internal and external clients.
- Align the strategy with international market demands while optimizing development and operational costs, focusing on rationalizing the product portfolio.
- Analyze customer needs from SUEZ Bus globally and external clients to inform product segmentation and pricing strategies.
- Determine the optimal position within the value chain (make or buy decisions).
- Conduct regulatory assessments.
- Formulate and update business plans for each product.
- Identify opportunities for innovative product development that meet specific market requirements while ensuring profitability.
- Collaborate with the team and factory to prepare project gate reviews and present findings to SUEZ Digital Solution governance.
**Competitive Analysis:**
- Collaborate with Marketing to analyze the competitive landscape, monitoring key market players and emerging startups to anticipate trends and strategically position our solutions.
- Propose strategies to maintain competitive advantages and differentiate our offerings in the marketplace.
**Business Planning and Execution:**
- Develop and implement strategic business plans aligned with budgetary constraints, ensuring a pipeline of profitable business in the short, medium, and long term.
- Work with cross-functional teams to ensure business plans align with organizational objectives.
**Sales and Customer Support:**
- Provide product expertise and market insights to support sales, business development, and customer support functions.
- Collaborate with sales teams to devise effective go-to-market strategies and ensure successful product launches.
**Platform Design, Delivery, and Maintenance:**
- Oversee the entire product production and development lifecycle, from vision formulation to feature definition and roadmap creation.
- Maintain and update the product roadmap.
- Engage with customers to understand their needs and design new versions, ensuring all technical, functional, and security specifications are met.
- Ensure service delivery aligns with contractual obligations regarding quality, timelines, and budget.
- Strive for customer satisfaction throughout all project phases.
**Collaboration with Digital Factory:**
- Serve as the Practice Leader for Product Management, establishing best practices and fostering the Product Management community.
- Collaborate with the Digital Factory and Data teams to leverage digital technologies for enhancing our digital solutions for industrial asset optimization.
Required Skills and Experience:
**Qualifications and Desired Profile:**
- Strong knowledge of recycling and recovery sectors, particularly EFW plants.
- Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Proven experience in digital and data product management, ideally within industrial applications.
- Familiarity with emerging digital technologies such as AI, machine learning, and IoT, and their applications in industrial contexts.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, capable of working effectively across diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Demonstrated leadership experience in guiding cross-functional teams and driving projects to successful outcomes.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to develop and execute business plans aligned with organizational goals.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with a focus on delivering high-quality results.
- Proficiency in English; additional language skills are advantageous.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in engineering firms, product development, or integration within the industrial sector.
