About the Mission
We are seeking a skilled technician to join our team at Universcience, responsible for maintaining the living systems on our three sites of operation. If you have a passion for ensuring the well-being of animals and plants, and enjoy working in a dynamic environment, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.
Main Responsibilities
- Ensure the maintenance of animal and plant habitats, including food distribution, animal handling, and environmental monitoring.
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment and facilities used for animal and plant care, and ensure they are properly stocked with supplies and food.
- Monitor and report any issues or malfunctions with the systems and equipment.
- Assist in the preparation and presentation of living exhibits for public viewing.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and protocols for the handling and display of living organisms.
About the Role
We are looking for a highly organized and methodical individual with excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in zoology, entomology, and botany, and be familiar with relevant regulations and safety protocols.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of zoology, entomology, and botany.
- Ability to handle and care for animals.
- Familiarity with regulations and safety protocols for animal care and handling.
- Strong computer skills and ability to maintain accurate records.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances.
Education and Experience
A degree in zootechnie or biologie animale is required, and relevant experience in a similar role is highly desirable.
