Optimus Search is a leading biotechnology company dedicated to transforming healthcare through cutting-edge research, development, and production of biotechnological products. We are currently seeking a talented Senior Process Engineer for a minimum 6-month contract. In this crucial role, you will play a key part in developing, optimizing, and implementing manufacturing processes, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure efficiency, quality, and regulatory compliance.
**Role Overview:**
We are searching for a highly skilled and motivated Process Engineer with mid-senior level experience to support our biotechnology operations. If you're interested in this opportunity, please apply below.
**Responsibilities:**
- Lead efforts in process development and optimization to enhance the efficiency, scalability, and robustness of biotechnological manufacturing processes.
- Design and implement innovative strategies to improve process yields, reduce cycle times, and minimize waste.
- Perform detailed analysis and troubleshooting of process deviations, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
- Collaborate with R&D, Quality Assurance, and Regulatory Affairs teams to ensure compliance with cGMP guidelines, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
- Provide technical expertise and mentorship to junior engineers and production staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Participate in cross-functional teams to support technology transfer, scale-up activities, and the introduction of new products.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using data-driven decision-making and process analytical technologies (PAT).
**Required Skills and Experience:**
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in process engineering within the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry.
- In-depth knowledge of biotechnological manufacturing processes, including cell culture, fermentation, or purification.
- Strong expertise in Upstream Process, Downstream Process, and Chromatography.
- Comprehensive understanding of cGMP guidelines, regulatory requirements (e.g., FDA, EMA), and industry best practices.
- Proficiency in process simulation software (e.g., Aspen Plus, SuperPro Designer) and statistical analysis tools (e.g., Minitab, JMP).
- Exceptional problem-solving skills with a systematic approach to troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
- Proven experience in leading process improvement projects and delivering results in a fast-paced environment.
- A strong commitment to safety, quality, and compliance in all aspects of work.
- Fluency in both French and English.
**Note:** Eligibility to work in the EU is required.
