We are currently in search of a skilled professional to become a vital part of our Merger Arbitrage investment team as an Analyst. This position offers a unique chance for an exceptional candidate to contribute to a well-established and rapidly expanding hedge fund with a proven history of success, all within a diverse, stable, and experienced investment team.
Key Responsibilities
The Merger Arbitrage strategy operates as a fund within the fund. Our team allocates capital to friendly and announced transactions that exhibit an appealing risk/reward profile. Each prospective opportunity undergoes meticulous evaluation through our proprietary, comprehensive analysis framework, which encompasses all facets of a transaction. As a member of our team, your responsibilities will include:
- Identifying and screening new arbitrage opportunities
- Conducting thorough analysis of investment prospects and presenting findings to the investment committee
- Developing financial models for arbitrage scenarios
- Monitoring the portfolio and the broader strategic environment
- Collaborating with various teams (trading, middle office, risk, compliance, marketing, etc.)
- Engaging in research and development initiatives
Qualifications
We seek candidates with an excellent academic background from a prestigious university or business school.
A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in a top private equity, M&A, or buy-side investment management firm is required.
Strong expertise in Financial Analysis and Corporate Finance is essential; CFA designation is a plus.
Proficiency in processing substantial amounts of data and unstructured information is necessary.
Advanced skills in Microsoft Office are required; familiarity with Bloomberg and VBA is advantageous.
Fluency in both spoken and written English is essential; proficiency in French is a plus.
A proactive mindset and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively are crucial.
