This function is a vital component of the Amadeus Financial Suite, which holds significant potential for diversification and growth within the organization.
The functional solution must be developed in close collaboration with our clients while introducing substantial innovations compared to current offerings, shaping the future of airline financial systems.
Revenue Management is integrated with Altéa, necessitating collaboration with other divisions and acquiring in-depth functional knowledge in various areas (Altéa DCS, Ticketing, SSP, etc.).
One of the largest airlines globally has recently chosen our Amadeus Revenue Management solution. We are in the process of developing a Standalone Revenue Management system capable of connecting with non-Altea clients.
Role Overview:
In the Revenue Management department, you will engage in a dynamic environment with diverse opportunities for growth, whether on the functional side (acquisition, accounting, interline billing, reporting, etc.) or the technical side (ranging from traditional C++ backend to Java SKube microservices and cloud-based architecture utilizing Kafka. On the storage front, we manage the largest Oracle Database in Amadeus and robust Big Data solutions using MongoDB and Azure Databricks. On the UI front, we are on the verge of migrating to Angular, alongside our transition to the Cloud and DevOps initiatives.)
As a Software Engineer in a SAFe environment, you will join a collaborative team and contribute to ongoing projects primarily focused on developing the Standalone Revenue Management system (Java/SKube and C++) for a major airline.
Key Responsibilities:
- Possess the necessary technical and functional expertise in your discipline. Understand the Amadeus business and its relation to your area.
- Operate using established procedures or guidelines and provide insights to support or influence decisions in your area. Recommend new solutions and suggest enhancements by analyzing various information sources.
- Work with a moderate level of guidance and direction from your manager.
Specific Duties:
● Analyze specifications
_ Define user requirements for the development of new or upgraded software solutions.
● Design systems and code
_ Create technical solutions and conduct feasibility studies.
_ Propose viable technical solutions to Product Management and/or users for validation.
_ Develop software in accordance with Amadeus standards.
_ Model, design, and implement databases.
● Test and maintain the software
_ Conduct unit, package, and performance tests, ensuring quality aligns with Amadeus guidelines.
_ Participate in the validation phase of the product cycle, making adjustments as necessary to finalize the product.
_ Assist customers by debugging existing solutions in collaboration with the Product Manager or Product Definition Analyst.
● Document your work
_ Produce necessary software documentation for the application and distribute it to the relevant departments.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
Qualifications:
• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a C++ developer.
• Familiarity with Java.
• University degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Experience with Azure or Cloud technologies is advantageous.
• Knowledge of Python, in addition to C++, is appreciated.
• Proficiency in English.
