Job DescriptionWe're seeking a Senior Software Engineer - Data Reliability to join our team. As a key member of our infrastructure team, you'll design, build, and maintain the infrastructure we need to support orders of magnitude more customers, while minimizing issues and controlling cost.
You'll investigate and fix issues or bottlenecks, whether it's deep in the platform code or in the client application. You'll also support the services and datastores that we own, 24x7, and build tooling and automation to run our infrastructure with minimal human intervention.
As a Senior Software Engineer - Data Reliability, you'll work with developers to design data models and advise on datastores options. You'll have a BS/MS/PhD in a Computer Science, Engineering, or related scientific field or at least 5 years of professional experience.
You'll have production experience with distributed systems, e.g. Zookeeper, Cassandra, Postgres, FoundationDB, Kafka, Elasticsearch, Redis, MongoDB. You'll be mastering at least one programming or scripting language, e.g. Go, Java, Rust, C/C++. You'll want to work in a fast, high-growth startup environment that respects its engineers and customers.
You'll design simple and performant architecture to solve problems at high scale. Bonus points if you have hands-on engineering experience with at least one of the major cloud providers – AWS, Azure, GCP.
