Our division excels in consultancy and engineering within the water, environmental, and energy sectors, assisting clients in navigating the complexities of energy and ecological transitions. Our expanding environmental team comprises numerous professionals across France, including a significant number specializing in ecology and biodiversity, distributed across multiple locations.
As an Ecology Studies Assistant focusing on Nature in Urban Settings, you will report directly to the Department Manager and collaborate with a diverse team of experts. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Investigating technical subjects related to nature-based solutions, climate adaptation, and biodiversity.
- Creating technical documentation for urban wildlife habitats and tailored management strategies.
- Engaging in certification processes such as BREEAM, HQE, Biodivecity, and Effinature.
- Conducting operational oversight of ecological construction projects.
- Contributing to regulatory documentation, including protected species derogation, impact assessments, and wetland evaluations.
- Providing technical support for biodiversity-related initiatives.
- Conducting fieldwork for fauna and flora surveys alongside our naturalists.
Candidate Profile:
The ideal candidate will possess a degree in Environment or Ecology (Master's level, Engineering, or equivalent) and have prior experience in research studies. Essential skills include:
- Understanding of nature-based solutions.
- Knowledge of general ecology and biodiversity.
- Familiarity with QGis software is advantageous.
We seek an individual who is self-sufficient, meticulous, and well-organized, with strong writing capabilities essential for producing comprehensive studies. A willingness to travel for brief assignments is necessary, and a valid driver's license is required.
