About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Technician to join our team at SPO, a leading company in the precision engineering industry. As a Quality Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality of our products and processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage Measurement Tools: Oversee the maintenance and calibration of measurement tools, ensuring they are accurate and reliable.
  • Qualify Measurement Tools: Verify the performance of measurement tools and ensure they meet the required standards.
  • Develop and Implement Quality Control Plans: Create and update quality control plans to ensure the quality of our products.
  • Support the Quality Manager: Assist the Quality Manager in their duties, providing support and guidance as needed.
  • Internal Quality Management: Conduct internal audits and process improvements to ensure our quality management system is effective.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Pilot and Participate in PPAP Deliverables: Collaborate with the team to prepare and deliver PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) documents to clients.
  • Implement Measurement Tools: Install and configure measurement tools, ensuring they are properly calibrated and maintained.
  • Develop and Update Measurement Programs: Create and update measurement programs for specialized tools, such as 3D scanners and contour gauges.
  • Manage SPC Software: Administer and maintain SPC (Statistical Process Control) software, ensuring it is up-to-date and functioning correctly.
  • Continuously Improve Processes: Identify areas for improvement and implement changes to enhance our quality management system.
  • Monitor and Control the Quality Zone: Oversee the quality zone, ensuring it is properly maintained and controlled.
  • Manage Measurement Tools on Site: Oversee the purchase, repair, and calibration of measurement tools on site.
Requirements
  • Measurement Tool Expertise: Proficiency in conventional, optical, and 3D measurement tools.
  • Statistical Analysis: Strong understanding of statistical analysis, R&R, and SPC.
  • Quality Tools: Familiarity with quality tools, such as 8D and QRQC.
  • Computer Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Windows, Excel, and Word.
  • Equipment Knowledge: Familiarity with all quality control equipment used by the company.
  • Analytical and Communication Skills: Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
