Precommissioning Lead for Offshore Energy Projects

COMSIP is seeking a highly experienced Precommissioning Lead to join our dynamic team working on a major offshore energy project in Mozambique.

This role offers the opportunity to lead and manage a team of professionals responsible for all technical and execution aspects related to precommissioning activities for both onshore and offshore scopes of work, including subsea systems, umbilicals, and pipelines.

Your Responsibilities
  • Provide project management and leadership to the Precommissioning Team throughout all project phases.
  • Ensure safe, on-time, and within-budget delivery of precommissioning activities while maintaining a high level of quality aligned with a 30-year design life.
  • Assess and analyze precommissioning spreads, contractor capabilities, and execution plans to ensure robust project delivery.
  • Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of offshore installation aspects related to pipelines, structures, and umbilicals.
  • Foster strong working relationships with contractors and collaborate effectively on problem-solving initiatives.
  • Manage interfaces between multiple contractors involved in the project.
Your Qualifications
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience managing large-scale precommissioning contracts for land-, shallow water-, and deep-water systems, pipelines, and umbilicals.
  • Proven track record of successful team leadership and management in complex engineering projects.
  • Extensive knowledge of general offshore installation practices and procedures.
  • Ability to thrive in a multicultural environment and adopt a pragmatic approach to problem-solving.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or an equivalent field.
  • Current BOSIET and OGUK medical certifications.
