Job Description

We're seeking a highly motivated and efficient Java Backend Developer to join our team. As a key member of our development team, you'll design and build solutions based on business requirements, coach and help the team to build the designed solution, and define, build, and deploy pipelines as code with Azure DevOps (CI/CD).

You'll work closely with our frontend teams to build REST APIs, asynchronous processes, batches, database, and cache access. You'll also define Azure infrastructure requirements for your services, keep the technical stack secured and up-to-date, and define and follow coding conventions and rules.

We're looking for someone with a strong background in Java, Spring Boot, and microservices architecture. Experience with Kotlin, Java 17, Spring, Hibernate, JPA, SQL, HTTP/Restful API/Json/Patch, Junit, AssertJ, Mockito, Mockk, Docker, and GIT is a must. Azure Cloud and DevOps, event-driven/message-oriented Middleware/Queues, Apache Camel, and No-SQL experience are a plus.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or any stem subject
  • 4-6 years of experience as a Java Backend Developer, preferably in a start-up, fast-paced environment
  • Experience with designing & building business services in microservices/cloud architecture with Spring Boot
  • Strong knowledge of Java, Spring, and microservices architecture
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and financial datasets/ETL
  • Fluency in English
