Job Overview
The Sustainable Development Research division plays a crucial role in assisting fund management teams with environmental, social, and governance (ESG) considerations. This non-financial data complements conventional financial evaluations to guide investment choices, focusing on the analysis, assessment, and oversight of positive impacts alongside risk management strategies. The primary aim of this role is to support the Mirova Energy Transition team, which is dedicated to advancing the energy transition through renewable energy sources, hydrogen, green mobility, and more.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough I&ESG evaluations and due diligence prior to investment decisions;
- Present findings to the investment committee, emphasizing key risks and justifying the anticipated impact and objectives;
- Oversee participations regarding their ESG practices and performance, contributing to annual Impact and ESG reporting initiatives;
- Continuously enhance expertise in I&ESG related to critical sectors, particularly emerging technologies in the energy transition;
- Collaborate within the I&ESG team to refine and advance tools, methodologies, and workflows.

Candidate Profile:
We seek individuals with a higher education background and a minimum of 5 years of experience in sustainable development roles as an ESG analyst, particularly with a focus on energy transition issues. Familiarity with ESG/Sustainable Development frameworks, including SDGs and IEA initiatives, is essential.
Ideal candidates will possess strong interpersonal skills, excellent written and verbal communication abilities in English, meticulous attention to detail, and a commitment to accountability. Proficiency in English at a C1 level is required.
