The Team:
This is a remarkable opportunity to become part of the Credit and Risk Solutions commercial Team, a dedicated and dynamic group that has experienced significant growth and product innovation in recent years within the C&RS Business.
The mandate of the Credit Solutions Expert is to assist Sales Specialists in capitalizing on and utilizing SPGMI's capabilities by providing extensive knowledge of credit functionalities, including our quantitative market signal models and fundamentals-based models (PDs and LGDs), along with qualitative credit assessment scorecards, research, and data, to aid our clients in navigating complex credit risk management challenges.
The Impact:
The C&RS business plays a vital role in the overall expansion of the Market Intelligence (MI) Division.
The product suite is an essential component of this growth narrative, serving as the distribution channel for proprietary Ratings content and offering models and workflow tools to support the Credit Workflow for rated and unrated borrowers, counterparties, customers, and suppliers.
The role of the Credit Solutions Expert is crucial to the success of the business.In an increasingly intricate and competitive landscape, credit products cannot be effectively marketed without the expertise of the Credit Solutions Expert.
These experts lend credibility and authority to the sales and retention process. The position is therefore influential and highly visible, and while it is heavily client-facing, it also requires collaboration with numerous internal stakeholders.What's in it for you:

Key Responsibilities:
Builds relationships with Sales Specialists and Product Managers to assist in diagnosing, distilling, designing, and delivering credit workflow solutions tailored to the European market
Aligns with Commercial and Product strategy for credit offerings and executes comprehensive pre-sales and post-sales implementation plans
Acts as a credit product subject matter expert across various functional groups
Demonstrates excellence in SPGMI credit capabilities
Aids clients in establishing robust frameworks for integrating ESG factors into their Credit Assessment frameworks and understanding the potential impacts of ESG on their credit portfolios
Develops campaigns and initiatives aimed at driving revenue growth for segment-specific sales and supports client retention efforts related to credit products
Maintains strong connections with strategic credit customers in the market
Collaborates internally to design and deliver credit training on relevant products
Engages in thought leadership activities, speaking at relevant conferences and SPGMI credit webinars
Maintains a keen awareness of competitors and their relative strengths
Conducts Proof of Concepts, assists in RFPs, and manages test cases for regulatory requirements such as IFRS9
Qualifications:
~ Strong understanding of credit risk management
~ In-depth knowledge of complex client credit risk workflows across multiple segments (Corporates, Commercial and Investment Banking, Insurance, and Investment Management)
~ Ability to interact confidently with team members, prospects, and clients, as well as cross-functional teams within the organization, including Product Management, Education, Legal, and Marketing
~ Capacity to solve complex problems and, when necessary, adopt a new perspective using expert judgment
~ Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
~ Self-motivated with a strong desire to succeed and a positive outlook
~ Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple tasks
~ 5+ years of relevant industry experience in credit and risk management
~ Proficiency in Excel and credit modeling capabilities
~ Fluency in the German language is essential
