We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Claims Assessor to join our team in Paris, with the possibility of travel to Europe. As a key member of our EMELA (Europe, Middle East, Latin America) Life & Health claims team, you will be responsible for assessing complex Life, Disability and Income Protection claims, primarily in France & Europe.
Key Responsibilities- Claims Assessment: Evaluate and assess complex claims, ensuring accurate and timely decisions.
- Department Productivity: Maintain high standards of productivity, quality, and turn-around-time within the department.
- Client Relationships: Develop and maintain strong relationships with insurance company clients, supporting the Head of Claims EMELA and other team members.
- Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues across various business functions, including claims professionals, medical advisors, client managers, pricing actuaries, and legal teams.
- Client Auditing: Conduct on-site and virtual client claims auditing and process reviews, as part of a team.
- Claims Evaluation: Conduct key claims and process evaluations, providing input on market tenders and product development.
- Claims Approach: Contribute to the development of claims approach and philosophy, as well as processes.
- Process Improvement: Engage in projects and process improvement initiatives, as requested by leadership.
- Experience: At least 7-10 years' experience in Life insurance/reinsurance claims, with a strong focus on the French market.
- Technical Expertise: Strong technical expertise in Life, Disability and Income Protection claims practices is essential.
- Language Skills: Fluency in French and English, with German, Spanish, or another European language being a plus.
- Soft Skills: Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to work under pressure to deadlines.
