We are seeking a highly skilled Offshore Geotechnical Data Acquisition Specialist to join our team at TOTAL Deutschland GmbH. As a key member of our department, you will be responsible for acquiring offshore geotechnical data from the definition of the need to the validation of data processing and interpretation.
Key Responsibilities:- Carry out design and installation studies of foundations for Marine Renewable Energy (MRE) installations.
- Dimension and optimize the design/installation of foundations, which is a critical issue in all MRE projects (30-40% of CAPEX).
- Represent the Company in working groups and communicate on your discipline and activity during international congresses/seminars.
You will work closely with projects that are key to our ambitions, such as MRE projects, which have a significant impact. You will join the department in charge of characterizing offshore and onshore sites where industrial developments of renewable energy are planned. You will share the product of your activity with specialists of other complementary disciplines (geophysics, metocean) to provide an integrated and related rendering (structure, naval architecture).
Requirements:
- 5 years of higher education in engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in marine geotechnics acquired in studies and in the field during offshore reconnaissance and/or offshore foundation installations.
- International experience appreciated.
- Fluent English and French essential.
