We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Head of Civil and Structural Engineering to join our team at MPH Global.
Job Summary:The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the Civil and Structural Engineering discipline during the FEED phase, ensuring that technical objectives are met within the approved scope, budget, and schedule.
Key Responsibilities:- Oversee Civil and Structural engineering activities, including design, construction, and project management.
- Ensure that technical requirements, such as project specifications, data sheets, and procedures, are met.
- Provide clear guidance to the FEED contractor and facilitate resolution of technical issues.
- Verify the design and implementation of Civil and Structural deliverables, including earthworks, buildings, structures, and 3D models.
- Effectively manage the FEED contractor and Civil and Structural Engineering team to deliver technical input in accordance with project requirements.
- Maintain constructive working relationships with the FEED contractor, its subcontractors, and vendors to ensure delivery of workscope in accordance with project requirements.
- Provide Civil and Structural Engineering knowledge, design, quality assurance, and expertise while managing the Piping team in accordance with project deliverables and execution schedule.
- Direct the preparation and stewardship of Civil and Structural Engineering scope of work in FEED contract, advise and recommend design procedures, processes, deliverables, and alternative studies to optimize project cost and schedule.
- Manage the technical attachments and scope descriptions for relevant contracts, including the timely delivery of all purchase orders.
- Responsible for the Civil and Structural Engineering schedule and related milestones, provide data for monthly progress and stewardship reporting.
- Develop, review, and amend various policies and procedures to ensure that all Civil and Structural engineering references are up to date and relevant.
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering discipline or equivalent.
- 15 years of experience at a senior Civil/Structural Engineering supervisory level with a broad knowledge of engineering execution, including design standards, specifications, codes, safety criteria, and construction.
- Excellent written and oral English skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of software programs, Lotus Notes.
