Department Overview

The Multi-physics for Energetics Department focuses on research and development in the aeronautical sector. Our activities are driven by six strategic axes: Innovative energy systems; Propulsive system performance; Experimentation in representative conditions; Multi-physics modeling and simulation; Safety and environmental impact; Multi-physics software platforms.

Your Role as an Emissions Measurement Technician

We are seeking a skilled technician to join our team and contribute to our vital research endeavors. Your responsibilities will encompass:

  • Participating in measurement campaigns, both within our laboratories and test benches (located in Palaiseau and Occitanie), as well as at industrial sites and airport areas.
  • Developing particle generation devices to study the impact of physicochemical composition on measurement signals.
  • Ensuring the proper functioning of measuring devices through calibration, adjustment, and maintenance.
  • Analyzing raw data obtained from measurements and contributing to initial interpretations.
  • Actively participating in the activities of the CESAR laboratory and upholding safety and quality standards.

Your work will be integral to projects undertaken in collaboration with European consortia (Horizon Europe, Clean Aviation...), national agencies (Directorate General of Civil Aviation, Directorate General of Armament...), and industrial partners (SAFRAN, AIRBUS...).

Qualifications and Skills

We are looking for a candidate who possesses:

  • A BTS or BUT degree in a field related to physicochemical measurements, specifically aerosols, and aeronautics.
  • A strong understanding of metrology principles, particularly in relation to gases and aerosols.
  • Knowledge of mechanics (assembly, technical drawing) is advantageous.
  • Excellent teamwork skills are essential.
  • Basic English language proficiency is appreciated.
