About the Role:
The American University of Paris is seeking a highly motivated and experienced ACE Advisor - Career Focus - Level 2 to join our team. As a key member of our Career Services department, you will play a vital role in supporting students in their career development journey.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide career guidance and coaching to students, helping them explore career pathways and develop professional skills.
- Coordinate internship programs, working with students, faculty, and host companies to ensure a smooth and successful experience.
- Develop and deliver workshops, group coaching sessions, and individual student appointments to support students in their career development.
- Manage career services offerings to alumni, meeting with them to offer career counseling services.
- Collaborate with faculty colleagues to expand employer networks and identify opportunities for students.
- Develop department and major-specific resources for students, working with faculty colleagues to create a system to match students to best-fit host companies.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience, preferably in a university environment or in career counseling.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent; Master's degree preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and preferably also in French.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to work quickly and efficiently.
- Strong technology skills, including Microsoft Office and databases.
- Patient, friendly, and efficient manner with students; cross-cultural sensitivity, commitment to diversity and inclusion.
