We are seeking a skilled Automation Engineer to join our team at Ecolab. As an Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for analysing the functional needs of our customers and users, designing software and hardware architecture, and selecting technologies, hardware, software, and configurations.
You will identify suppliers able to meet the needs of new projects or to replace obsolete components, design and produce programs for the automation part, and define and execute technical and functional test phases and procedures.
Additionally, you will analyse technical and functional problems, seek corrective action, and participate in meetings to monitor design, improvement, and reliability projects.
ResponsibilitiesAs an Automation Engineer at Ecolab, you will be responsible for checking compliance with business standards, producing development and maintenance documents, and carrying out regulatory tests in compliance with procedures.
You will propose reliable technical solutions and measure their impact on the project, inform the project manager, technical supervisor, and/or department manager of any difficulties encountered during the project, and propose appropriate solutions.
Skills RequiredWe are looking for a candidate with modelling complex automation or industrial IT systems, use of computer operating or automation systems, and mastery of automation systems programming.
The ideal candidate will also have knowledge of programming in C#, Java, J2EE, J2ME, C/C++, Pascal, etc., knowledge of industrial supervision systems, and knowledge of user interface development.
A licence or master degree in automation and/or industrial IT, or equivalent professional experience, is required. Fluency in English (technical vocabulary) is also required.
