About the Role
We are seeking a Financial Controller to join our team in Rungis, France on a permanent basis. As our Financial Controller, you will leverage your analytical skills to oversee our financial operations in France and ensure compliance with international accounting standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Analysis and Reporting
- Identify key performance indicators and build value-added analysis for operational staff
- Guarantee the soundness and accuracy of the figures and data produced
- Produce periodic financial reports and dashboards
- Value and analyse stocks
- Analyse business performance, margins, and costs
- Make proposals for cost optimisation and manage expenditure
- Draw up and monitor budgets in collaboration with various departments
- Analyse variances between budget forecasts and actual results, identifying the causes and proposing corrective action
- Help identify ways of optimising financial and operational processes
- Participate in the implementation of the D365 software, drawing up and developing performance indicators and monitoring the company's costs
Requirements
Essential
- Qualified accountant (Finance degree or qualified by experience with a background in controlling and accounting)
- Fluent communicator (both written and oral) in French and English (C1/C2)
- Previous commercial finance experience and exposure to IFRS
- Sound knowledge of financial management methods and processes (e.g. planning, forecasting, KPI analysis, cash flow)
- Strong working knowledge of MS Excel
- Willingness and ability to work onsite in Rungis full time
Desirable
- Previous experience of MS D365 would be highly advantageous
- Previous experience of working within the fresh produce sector would be beneficial but not essential
- Good Datev knowledge is an advantage
- Curious, proactive, and positive mindset with the ability to collaborate across teams and bring ideas and fresh perspectives to the table
