We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Patent Engineer to join our Intellectual Property team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in safeguarding our cutting-edge technologies and driving innovation within the company.

• Assess the patentability of inventions developed by our R&D teams, ensuring strong intellectual property protection.
• Manage patent applications through collaboration with external intellectual property consulting firms, guiding them through the process to successful completion.
• Provide expert support and guidance to various departments within Dassault Systèmes on matters related to patents, trademarks, and domain names.
• Conduct comprehensive patent awareness training programs for employees, fostering a culture of intellectual property understanding and best practices.
• Perform in-depth freedom-to-operate studies, analyzing potential legal risks associated with our technologies and identifying opportunities for development.
• Analyze potential infringement by third parties, taking appropriate action to protect our intellectual property rights.
• Stay abreast of the latest technological advancements and industry trends within software engineering, artificial intelligence, virtual reality, and other relevant fields.

To excel in this role, you will possess:

• A graduate degree from CEIPI with a patent attorney diploma from the European Patent Office.
• A strong foundation in software engineering and at least 5 years of experience in patent engineering.
• Exceptional technical and scientific expertise, coupled with excellent written and verbal communication skills in both French and English.
• Proficiency in utilizing relevant software tools for patent analysis and management.
