Context
As we transition to the public cloud, our logging framework is undergoing a significant transformation centered around Splunk, a premier solution for data collection and analysis from diverse sources. Given the critical role logs play in supporting our internal clients' investigations and minimizing recovery times, we invite you to contribute to the development of a cost-effective, automated, scalable, and resilient logging infrastructure utilizing the Splunk Kubernetes operator.
About the Position
The ideal candidate for this logging development role should possess a keen interest in Amadeus logging frameworks, investigative methodologies, and overall observability. You will collaborate with a team of Developers and DevOps specialists to design, maintain, and manage logging systems while facilitating their migration from our private data center to the public cloud.
In a rapidly evolving technological environment, you will have ample opportunities to enhance your skills, particularly in Kubernetes and cloud technologies. Your work will involve C++ to advance our logging and concealment libraries, with the potential to engage with GO language, commonly used in the Splunk Kubernetes Operator, or Python, which is also part of our ecosystem.
It is essential to adopt a holistic perspective, considering customer needs and how logging integrates into the broader cloud architecture, to effectively influence the logging deployment model and services.
Within a multicultural Agile team operating under SAFe, strong communication skills are vital for interacting with team members across various locations, including the Scrum Lead, product owner, management, and other stakeholders.
Amadeus, in partnership with Microsoft, deploys its logging stack on Azure, making familiarity or experience with MS Azure advantageous.
What We're Looking For- Extensive experience in Software Development with C++ is essential.
- Proven communication and collaboration skills are required.
- Proficiency in English is mandatory.
- A genuine interest in observability, logging, Kubernetes, and HELM is desired.
- Additional experience with Java, Python, or Go is appreciated but not mandatory.
- Experience with Splunk and MS Azure is beneficial.
- Familiarity with automation tools (Jenkins, ArgoCD, Terraform, Ansible) is a plus.
