We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Security Engineer to join our Information Security and Risk team at Principal Financial Group. As a key member of our team, you will serve as a liaison between our business and the Corporate Information Security team, providing expertise in information security related strategies and solutions.
Key Responsibilities- Focus on the DevOps Secure team to influence and implement information security related strategies.
- Provide research and analysis related to application vulnerability resolution, resolving OWASP top 10 static analysis findings.
- Partner on architecture risk assessments, acceptations to security policy and work with engineering teams to remediate acceptations, build remediation plans.
- Participate in pair programming and/or handle complex tasks with limited direction.
- Learn or bolster existing information security knowledge, with opportunities for pursuing information security certifications.
- Participate and collaborate in various forums, identifying concerns (risks) and/or insights.
- Perform research gathering, collaboration, and/or support efforts for security events/incidents.
- Bachelor's degree in a computer science, technology, engineering or math-related field, or equivalent experience.
- 6+ years of information security engineering experience.
- Cloud security experience.
- Security tooling experience including SAST, SCA, CASB.
- Experience providing application consulting related to security vulnerability remediation.
- Proficiency in one or more of the following: Fortify, Bitbucket, Service-Now, Jira, Git-Hub, Archer (GRC Tool), SharePoint, Confluence, Java,.NET, Docker, Python, Go, NodeJs, Infrastructure as code.
- Ability to lead design and implementation of security automation.
- Good communication and organization skills, including the ability to collaborate with internal and external partners, customers, regulators, suppliers, and leadership.
- Experience working in the financial services and/or insurance industry.
- CISSP, CRISC certifications.
- Familiarity with NIST Framework.
- Ability to make decisions in ambiguity.
