We are seeking a highly skilled Reservoir Engineer to join our team at SLB. As a Reservoir Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise in reservoir engineering and simulation tools, contributing to the development of new products and services, and supporting customer success initiatives.
About the Role:The successful candidate will have a strong background in reservoir engineering and simulation software, with experience in customer support, software engineering, and product management. You will be responsible for resolving escalated technical support tickets, executing consulting projects, delivering training and support to customer reservoir engineers, and contributing to customer success initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide advanced reservoir engineering support for Intersect simulator and linked commercial products and services to customers.
- Resolve escalated technical support tickets from internal customers and affiliates.
- Execute and advise on consulting projects for internal customers and affiliates.
- Deliver training and support to customer reservoir engineers' community in the application of software solutions.
- Contribute to customer success initiatives, software improvements, delivering advanced domain solutions, and innovation.
- Participate in the testing of Intersect new versions, evaluating technology performance, and relevance of the workflow to the customer.
- Assist the internal simulation support team during new versions introduction, including documentation, publications, presentations, and training packages.
- Propose new development areas for the product teams and define requirements for new customer workflows.
- Carry out technical studies and participate in technical reviews and audits.
- Write and review technical publications.
- Participate in external professional societies and internal technical communities.
- Comply with applicable company policies, including Personnel, Quality System, and Health, Safety, and Environment standards and procedures.
- BS or MS in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Petroleum Engineering, or a closely related field.
- Practical experience with RE/Simulation software (Intersect).
- Global mobility.
- Desire to work in a fast-paced, dynamic business on high-value, technically complex products/projects.
- English language proficiency. French language considered a plus.
- Strong interpersonal skills to communicate clearly and confidently.
- Strong teamwork capabilities.
- Ability to choose and initiate action.
- Passion for learning and research.
