Ingenium Implementation Consultant

Position Overview:

We are in search of a skilled and proactive Implementation Consultant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be tasked with facilitating the implementation, upgrade, and deployment of INGENIUM/PathFinder and other JAVA-based applications for our clientele. This position necessitates a robust technical foundation in web technologies, application servers, and middleware solutions. The successful applicant will provide technical guidance, administration, and support throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring compliance with best practices and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development and various phases of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) for Pathfinder application implementation and upgrades.
  • Possess a solid understanding of the deployment of INGENIUM/PathFinder and other JAVA-based applications for clients.
  • Operate within the client's established project implementation methodology and adhere to relevant standards.
  • Provide administration and technical support for web technologies during the design, development, testing, and deployment of business applications.
  • Manage the WebSphere Application Server, including user authentication, authorization, and application deployment.
  • Conduct problem analysis, performance optimization, and monitoring of the production environment.
  • Comprehend and advise on Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) and Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) architecture and best practices.
  • Lead targeted evaluations of new technology products, including pilot projects and proof-of-concept initiatives.
  • Oversee ongoing security requirements for the WebSphere Application Server.
  • Investigate and resolve security scan report issues related to middleware solutions.
  • Develop and maintain documentation and diagrams to support the management of the web server and WebSphere environment.
  • Provide statistics and reports on the operation of WebSphere and systems as required by the team.
  • Create test scenarios and perform unit testing of programming modifications.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of technical environments for web applications, staying updated on new functions and changes that may affect the physical implementation.
  • Offer recommendations to the development team to fulfill platform/technical and functional requirements.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience with Pathfinder upgrades is essential.
  • Demonstrated experience in the deployment of Pathfinder/Ingenium is essential.
  • Extensive experience in deploying and optimizing applications on WebSphere and other application servers.
  • Strong technical expertise in web technologies, application servers, and middleware solutions.
  • Proficiency in administration and technical support for WebSphere Application Server.
  • Knowledge of SOA and ESB architecture and best practices.
  • Experience with API-level development, including Web Services.
  • Proven ability to lead evaluations of new technology products and resolve programming challenges.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the capacity to provide technical leadership and mentorship.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Experience or knowledge of IBM WebSphere Administration or other Application Servers.
  • Familiarity with UNIX and Windows platforms.
  • Desirable to have experience with DXC IP INGENIUM.
  • Required experience in Java EE and web development.
  • Proficiency in Java, JSP, HTML, REST Services, SOAP Services, JDBC, Eclipse, Application Server (Tomcat, JBOSS, WebSphere), ANT, MAVEN.
  • Proficiency in Java, XML, HTML, JSP, JavaScript, and CSS is essential.
  • Knowledge of COBOL is an asset.

Additional Qualifications:

• An advanced degree in a related field is advantageous.

• Relevant certifications or training are a plus.
