Key responsibilities include:
- Participating in shaping the client's data platform roadmap
- Providing expertise in data architectures and data platforms to assist stakeholders
- Helping define policies to ensure data teams deliver data products respecting key standards and quality
- Supporting data teams in their delivery, ensuring technical coherence of Data Products built across the organization
- Collaborating closely with Privacy, Security, and Legal teams to exchange on requirements and enforce compliance with data governance, privacy regulations, and security policies
- Fostering and animating the technical community by facilitating workshops, knowledge sharing, and best practices dissemination
- Staying up-to-date with the latest technologies and tools in data engineering and contributing to the growth of Lenstra's analytics capabilities
Requirements include:
- At least 5 years of experience in data architecture, with a focus on Big Data and Data platforms
- Proficiency in architecture design and implementation of technological bricks of Data platforms
- Strong knowledge of data architectures and cloud environments, with certifications or experience in GCP, Azure, AWS, etc.
- Experience with modern development processes and tools, including DevOps, Git, CI/CD pipelines, and tools like Jenkins, CircleCI, or GitLab
- Comfortable with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform for managing cloud resources
- Experience deploying and managing data pipelines, data models, and other data applications in cloud environments
- Familiarity with security best practices and tools such as Vault for secrets management, encryption, and key management
- Skills in Python and familiarity with data engineering tools such as dbt or dataform
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work on complex and ambiguous problems
- Strong skills in SQL with experience developing large-scale data transformations in production
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple priorities
