About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Project RAMS Engineer to join our team at Alstom. As a key member of our project team, you will be responsible for defining the overall RAMS approach for our projects, managing a team of RAMS Engineers, and ensuring the QCD commitments of the RAMS business line are met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Define the overall RAMS approach for the project throughout the development cycle
  • Manage a team of RAMS Engineers to carry out studies and ensure the QCD commitments of the RAMS business line are met
  • Support and guide the design of the train to verify and validate that the architectures and designs of the systems and products meet the contractual safety and reliability expectations and requirements
  • Propose and defend technical solutions to optimize safety and reliability performances to the engineering teams
  • Manage the relationship with the customer, independent safety assessors, and regulatory authorities to obtain the necessary authorizations to put the train into service
  • Apply Alstom Transport Safety Processes and standards from the tender phase to the warranty phase
  • Participate in the development of the Functional Safety business line on the Valenciennes site and more widely within Alstom
Requirements
  • General engineer or equivalent with a minimum of 5 years experience in the methods and tools of operational safety
  • Experience in project management
  • Knowledge of the railway world and associated technical skills are a plus
