We are currently working with a client in Dole who is seeking an Economist in Construction (H/F) with a proven track record in cost estimation and financial management for construction projects. This is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic team and contribute to high-profile projects.
Job Description
As a key member of the project team, you will be responsible for estimating costs and managing the financial aspects of construction projects from conception to completion. You will develop detailed quotes and budget estimates, taking into account the specific requirements of public markets. You will also conduct feasibility studies and cost analyses, evaluating materials, labor, and equipment needs.
You will participate in tendering processes and select the best contractors to ensure optimal economic conditions. You will be responsible for drafting written documents (CCTP, DQE) and monitoring budgets, controlling expenses, and adjusting estimates as needed. You will work closely with architects, engineers, and site managers to ensure the economic viability of projects.
Requirements
We are looking for a candidate with a degree in economics of construction, civil engineering, or a related field, and at least 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in public markets. A good understanding of regulations and standards related to Public Reception Establishments (ERP) is desirable.
You must be meticulous and methodical, with excellent analytical and calculation skills. You should have a good knowledge of construction techniques and materials, as well as negotiation and cost optimization skills. You should be an excellent communicator and team player, able to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
