Join our team at the Bordeaux Neurocampus and contribute to the development of innovative light-sheet microscopy techniques for neuroscience applications.
About the RoleWe are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Research Engineer to join our team at the Bordeaux Neurocampus. As a Research Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a custom Oblique Plane Microscopy (OPM) solution for fast neuronal sample imaging. This will involve close collaboration with neuroscientists and developers to improve existing light-sheet microscopes.
Key Responsibilities- Develop a custom OPM solution to address specific neurobiological questions
- Participate in the improvement of existing light-sheet microscopes
- Collaborate with neuroscientists and developers to achieve project goals
We are looking for a candidate with a strong background in optics and fluorescence microscopy, as well as experience in programming and sample preparation. The ideal candidate will be motivated, enthusiastic, and independent, with a passion for neuroscience and a strong desire to contribute to cutting-edge research.
About the TeamYou will be part of the Quantitative Imaging of the Cell team, a R&D team with internationally-recognized expertise in live cell microscopy and quantitative analysis. The Bordeaux Imaging Center is an imaging platform with a department dedicated to photonic microscopy for biology, and the BIC and IINS are hosted in the same building, a recent neuroscience research center located on the Carreire campus of Bordeaux University.
