Job Description

As a Project Buyer at TMC, you will be responsible for leading and managing purchasing activities, including sourcing, planning, production part approval process, tooling investments, and Quality Assurance, Risk Management in cross-functional projects. You will contribute to project deliveries and work closely with the purchasing community to achieve project goals.

Your Challenges
  • Develop strong relationships with the purchasing community, including Buyers, SQEs, Managers, and Vice-Presidents;
  • Communicate project status to stakeholders and present purchasing information to reference groups;
  • Create initiatives to engage people in the project and share success stories;
  • Provide supplier competencies to the project with the support of Purchasing segment leaders.
What We Expect From You
  • 2+ years of experience in the automotive industry;
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related field;
  • Understanding of Purchasing challenges and ability to support them;
  • Strong project management skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team;
  • Understanding of cost drivers and ability to bring business perspectives to the project;
  • Strong risk management skills and developed negotiation skills;
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
