The Process and Technology division is dedicated to delivering specialized knowledge in key areas essential for the enduring functionality of facilities. The Measurements and Nuclear Characterization unit provides technical support and maintenance within its fields of expertise to:
- Enhance and modify the productivity of industrial tools to align with production requirements while ensuring safety and quality standards are upheld.
- Support the long-term viability of facility operations over the necessary lifespan at the most economical overall cost, which includes construction, maintenance, operation, quality assurance, and measurement efficiency.
To achieve these objectives, the Measurements and Nuclear Characterization unit, which you will join, is in search of a Nuclear Measurement Engineer.
- Review supplier technical documentation for Process Nuclear Control systems to pinpoint any potential irregularities or discrepancies concerning their historical, current, and anticipated operational modes.
- Evaluate the operational history of active facilities to gain insights into the aging processes affecting Process Nuclear Control systems.
- Provide expert assessments regarding the longevity and continued use of this equipment.
These assessments may necessitate alterations to existing systems or exceptional operational procedures.
- Conduct or oversee technical analyses related to the advancement, modification, or optimization of existing systems.
- Serve as the technical liaison for initiatives focused on the sustainability of installations as well as projects spearheaded by the Programs Department.
- Identify and oversee research and development activities essential for the longevity of process systems, ensuring installations remain in operational condition, and enhancing the efficiency of implemented processes.
